This includes but is not limited to

  • Individual social skills development to participants
  • Behaviour Management training
  • General and comprehensive skills-based training to other NDIS providers, government and non-government services and corporations

Individual social skills development
This can include direct teaching and learning opportunities with participants. All too often, we see supports and resources primarily directed towards a person’s support and care-team rather than the individual. At Challenging Minds, we believe in a balanced approach that includes working alongside a person with disability. This can also include individual coaching, mentoring, goal setting and skills building opportunities for someone to engage in.

Behaviour Management Training
Implementing positive behaviour support plans and associated strategies includes training to you and your staff based on the latest research and evidence from practice-based experience. All training and skill development reflects the role of workers, carers, families, and stakeholders in a range of community settings. This training provides clear guidance and direction for support people who implement positive behaviour support plans and associated strategies. This can be delivered either face to face, or video conferencing in a way that is interactive, professional, meaningful and purposeful.

Comprehensive skills-based training
This can be delivered to NDIS providers, Government and non-Government Services and Corporations. This may include but is not limited to implementing reactive strategies, safety awareness, Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD), mental health, person centred service delivery, role specific training, trauma and effective communication training packages to name a few. Please stay tuned for further training options.
